
Dr. Saxton grew up an active athlete in Sykesville, Maryland, playing everything from soccer, basketball, softball and track to boys lacrosse. She attended Bridgewater College, a small liberal arts school in Virginia and earned a bachelor of science in biology. While at Bridgewater, Dr. Saxton played on the college’s women’s soccer team, including games in both Germany and Holland. In 2008 she graduated with her DVM from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and joined the Cumberland Valley Veterinary team. GO BUCKS! She is married to her high school sweetheart, a Department of Defense civilian, Staff Sergeant in the Maryland Army National Guard and Iraqi war veteran. Dr. Saxton shares her home with a mischievous Bengal cat, Ace, and a yellow Labrador retriever, Dakota, who is a registered therapy dog. She enjoys scrapbooking, playing and watching sports, especially the Baltimore Ravens, skiing and cooking.
